Ai art is better than ever before, and thanks to the advent of open-source solutions, there are many tools available. I’ve tested the most popular ones like DALL-E, Midjourney, and StableDiffusion; each one has unique use cases where it stands out.
- Midjourney: Great results with simple prompts. The model tends to fill in the missing details with good-looking art. Also, the trial is long enough to get a sense of its capabilities.
- DALL-E: Requires more work with the prompts, has a good outpainting tool. More than that, the free credits feel short for exploring more.
- StableDiffusion: Great for custom model fine-tuning, like training on a person. Also, it’s open-source, so you could run it on Colab for some hours for free before it kicks out for limit usage. But in theory, you could create infinite images with little cost.
There’s a trend for creating UI/UX layouts with Midjourney, and it’s very easy to create, like the thumbnail from this post. By the way, the prompt was “website for software developer UI/UX.” You could find many examples on YouTube like the ones below.
Exciting times we live in now, and it’s just the start.
